Abstract

This extensive article analyzes the increasing importance of automated digital monitoring systems in assessing and managing flood risks. It describes how advanced technologies in remote sensing, the Internet of Things (IoT), geoinformation systems (GIS), and artificial intelligence (AI) have transformed the mudflow hazard monitoring process from a reactive approach to a predictive model. The article examines existing scientific literature, methods, and technologies, presents analytical results of global experience, and provides practical recommendations for the effective implementation of automated monitoring systems in mudflow-prone areas.
