Abstract

This article scientifically examines the role of vitamin D deficiency in the pathogenesis of rickets, a common childhood disease and a global health problem. The etiological factors of rickets are analyzed in depth, and the clinical symptoms of this disease, especially in infants - deformation of the skeletal system, delayed closure of the articular cartilage, muscle weakness - are described based on morphological and physiological criteria. The study discusses early detection of rickets, laboratory diagnostic methods, and effective treatment and prevention strategies.
