GENDER EQUALITY IN SPORTS AND ITS ROLE IN SOCIETY DEVELOPMENT: ISSUES AND SOLUTIONS

Abstract

This paper aims to explore the importance of gender equality in sports, focusing on existing challenges and potential solutions. Although gender equality has become a fundamental principle in international law and national policies, significant gaps remain in the sports sector. Despite improvements in female participation, women in sports still face financial inequalities, media underrepresentation, and limited leadership roles. Drawing from international and national case studies, this research examines the key issues surrounding gender equality in sports and proposes strategies to address these challenges. Through legislative reforms, financial support, and media visibility, a more inclusive and equitable sporting environment can be achieved. This paper underscores the critical role of gender equality in enhancing social justice and promoting sustainable development.
