Abstract

This article explores the geopolitical significance of Amir Timur’s foreign policy in the Middle East during the late 14th and early 15th centuries. It provides a comprehensive analysis of the principal directions of his diplomatic and military strategy, emphasizing the establishment of a stable balance of power and the consolidation of the Timurid state’s political influence in the region. Special attention is devoted to the ways in which Timur’s policies facilitated the development of a new framework of international relations in the Middle East, integrating principles of political pragmatism, economic and trade cooperation, and civilizational dialogue. The study demonstrates that Timur’s foreign policy not only enhanced the international prestige and authority of the Timurid state but also exerted a durable influence on the political dynamics of the region. Furthermore, the research examines the enduring effects of Timur’s geostrategic decisions on the evolution of Middle Eastern powers and the establishment of a new regional security system.
