Abstract

The Use of Audio and Video Resources for Developing Listening Comprehension in Foreign Language Education is grounded in the idea that authentic, multimodal input significantly enhances learners’ ability to understand spoken language. Audio materials expose students to real pronunciation, rhythm, and speech patterns, while video adds visual cues that make comprehension easier and more meaningful. Together, these resources replicate real-life communication, increase motivation, support cultural awareness, and develop key listening strategies such as predicting, inferring, and identifying main ideas. Their thoughtful integration in the classroom strengthens listening proficiency and contributes to more effective foreign language learning.
