STUDENT-CENTERED LEARNING AND ITS IMPACT ON ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT
Main Article Content
Abstract
Student-centered learning has become one of the most influential pedagogical approaches in modern education. Unlike traditional teacher-centered instruction, student-centered learning emphasizes active participation, autonomy, and individual learning needs. This paper examines the impact of student-centered learning on academic achievement by analyzing theoretical foundations, instructional practices, and empirical outcomes. The study explores active learning, personalized instruction, collaborative learning, and formative assessment as key components of student-centered pedagogy. Findings suggest that student-centered learning improves academic performance, enhances motivation, and develops critical thinking skills. However, successful implementation requires teacher competence, institutional support, and appropriate assessment strategies. The study concludes that student-centered learning plays a crucial role in improving educational quality and learner outcomes.
