Abstract
The study of medical terminology, particularly in pediatrics, reveals complex linguistic mechanisms underlying the formation and usage of specialized vocabulary. This article explores the phenomenon of nomination in pediatric terminology, focusing on its linguistic and lexicographic characteristics. The research analyzes structural, semantic, and pragmatic aspects of term formation, as well as the role of standardization in medical dictionaries. The findings demonstrate that pediatric terms are shaped by both universal linguistic patterns and domain-specific needs, ensuring precision, clarity, and cross-cultural consistency in medical communication.
