STYLISTIC DIFFICULTIES OF TRANSLATION IN MODERN ENGLISH
Main Article Content
Abstract
This article examines the peculiarities of translating stylistic devices from English into Russian and highlights the importance of stylistic transformations in the translation process. The study analyses the functions of such stylistic devices as alliteration, repetition, metaphor, metonymy, comparison, and actualization, emphasizing their multifunctional character and language-specific features. Special attention is paid to the translator’s task of preserving not the form of a stylistic device, but its communicative and emotional effect in the target language. The article concludes that stylistic transformations, including substitution, omission, and compensation, are essential for achieving equivalence and maintaining the expressive impact of the original text.
