DYNAMICS OF OFFENSES: A 50% REDUCTION IN THE EXPERIMENTAL GROUP
Main Article Content
Abstract
Annotation. The article analyzes the dynamics of offenses under the influence of the developed modular methodology of legal education for the resocialization of difficult-to-educate youth aged 14–19 years. The study involved 95 main respondents (experimental group - 49, control group - 46). Based on the juvenile inspector's observation card, the dynamics of the number of offenses over the past 6 months were studied. According to pre-test and post-test results, the total number of offenses in the experimental group decreased from 3.2 to 1.6 (a 50% reduction). For serious offenses: theft - by 70%, drug addiction - by 71.4%, connection with radical groups - by 75.0%. All changes are statistically significant (p<0.001). The effect size (Cohen's d=1.78) indicates a "very large" impact. No significant changes were observed in the control group. The effectiveness of the methodology in crime prevention is substantiated.
