Abstract

Abstract: Hypertension remains one of the most widespread chronic non-communicable diseases affecting millions of people worldwide. It is considered a major risk factor for cardiovascular diseases, stroke, kidney failure, and premature mortality. The increasing prevalence of hypertension is associated with urbanization, unhealthy lifestyles, stress, obesity, and low physical activity. This article analyzes the etiology, pathophysiology, classification, diagnosis, and treatment principles of hypertension using an IMRAD structure. Special attention is paid to modern therapeutic approaches, including lifestyle modification, pharmacological treatment, preventive strategies, and patient education. The study also examines the current situation regarding hypertension management in Uzbekistan and highlights the importance of early diagnosis and evidence-based treatment methods. The findings demonstrate that integrated treatment approaches significantly reduce complications and improve patients’ quality of life.
