PRAGMATIC CATEGORIES AND METHODOLOGICAL APPROACHES IN MODERN UZBEK LINGUOPRAGMATICS

Abstract
The article analyzes four central categories of modern Uzbek linguopragmatics: speech act theory, deixis, subtext (tagmaʼno), and the Gricean-Levinsonian cooperative principle. Each category is examined through the classical Western theoretical framework alongside the analytical approaches of Uzbek linguists (Sh. Safarov, M. Hakimov, M. Qurbonova). From a methodological perspective, three principal approaches within Uzbek linguopragmatics are distinguished: the functional-semantic, the contextual-discursive, and the intercultural-comparative approach.
