THE ROLE OF PHRASEOLOGICAL UNITS IN UZBEK EDUCATIONAL LEXICOGRAPHY

Abstract
The article analyzes the role of phraseological units in Uzbek educational lexicography and the principles of presenting them in learner’s dictionaries. It argues that the semantic integrity, structural stability and imagery of phraseological units require special explanation in a learner’s dictionary. Based on the experience of Sh. Rahmatullayev’s dictionaries and explanatory dictionaries, the article proposes a model structure of a phraseological dictionary entry suited to the learners’ age.
