LONGITUDINAL STUDIES ON GRAMMATICAL COMPETENCE
Main Article Content
Abstract
This paper examines longitudinal studies focused on grammatical competence, analyzing how learners' grammatical abilities develop over time in various educational contexts. Longitudinal research offers valuable insights into the progression of grammatical understanding and the factors influencing this development, including instructional methods, learner characteristics, and exposure to language. By tracking changes in grammatical competence across different stages of language acquisition, the paper highlights patterns of growth, the role of feedback, and the impact of consistent practice. Furthermore, it discusses the implications of these findings for educators aiming to enhance grammar instruction and foster sustained grammatical development. Ultimately, this study underscores the importance of longitudinal research in informing effective teaching strategies and understanding the complexities of grammatical learning.
