Abstract

This article analyses the didactic and methodological potential of using artificial intelligence (AI) and digital technologies in chemistry education. It examines the opportunities offered by modern digital tools for visualising chemical concepts, modelling complex processes and reactions, addressing learners’ individual educational needs, supporting independent learning activities, and providing timely assessment of learning outcomes. Particular attention is also given to issues related to verifying the reliability of scientific information, maintaining academic integrity, ensuring teacher oversight, and developing digital competence when using AI-based tools. The study substantiates the view that the integration of artificial intelligence into chemistry education should not be aimed at fully automating the educational process, but rather at pedagogically supporting teachers’ professional activities and developing learners’ research skills and problem-solving abilities.
