Abstract

Abstract. This article examines the use of major concepts in Karakalpak and English proverbs from a comparative linguocultural perspective. It analyzes the concepts of health, speech and wisdom, fishing, hunting, and livestock and compares them with their English equivalents. The findings show that, despite different cultural images, both traditions express similar values related to well-being, communication, patience, leadership, and prosperity. Proverbs serve not only as linguistic units but also as carriers of cultural identity and collective experience.
