Abstract

This article examines the role of sports medicine in football, the most common injury types among players, and modern strategies for injury prevention. It analyzes muscle, joint, and ligament injuries caused by the sport’s high intensity, along with load management techniques, proper warm-up routines, physiotherapy methods, recovery processes, and the importance of sports psychology. Special emphasis is placed on the effectiveness of FIFA’s “11+” injury-prevention program, regular medical screenings, and functional tests as key factors in maintaining player health. The article presents a comprehensive approach aimed at reducing injury rates, optimizing training practices, and enhancing athletic performance.
