Abstract

This article examines ways to develop critical thinking skills in pre-service English language teachers through the use of artificial intelligence. In the context of the increasing integration of AI into education, it has become especially important for students to critically evaluate information, question its validity, and verify sources when making informed decisions. Artificial intelligence may generate misinformation or exhibit bias, which necessitates the purposeful development of students’ abilities to analyze and assess information critically. The article emphasizes the importance of discussing issues of reliability and bias in AI-generated content and proposes learning activities that encourage students to identify examples of both trustworthy information and misinformation.
