THE IMPACT OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE ON SOCIETY: OPPORTUNITIES AND CHALLENGES

Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has become one of the most transformative technologies of the 21st century. It affects various sectors such as healthcare, education, economy, governance, and social communication. This research article investigates the impact of AI on modern society by analyzing both positive outcomes and potential risks. The study adopts a qualitative research methodology based on literature review and analytical synthesis of academic sources. The results show that AI significantly increases productivity, decision-making efficiency, and technological innovation. However, it also raises concerns regarding job displacement, algorithmic bias, privacy risks, and ethical governance. The findings suggest that the successful integration of AI into society requires strong regulatory frameworks, ethical guidelines, and interdisciplinary collaboration between policymakers, researchers, and industry actors.
