TOURISM AND CULTURAL DIPLOMACY AS INSTRUMENTS OF INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION: THE CASE OF UZBEKISTAN

Abstract

 Abstract: Tourism and culture have gained more and more significance in the arena of international cooperation and sustainable development. They not only help to develop the economy, but also to promote intercultural dialogue, the preservation of cultural heritage and the positive international image of a country. Uzbekistan has implemented several institutional and infrastructural changes in recent years to enhance these sectors and boost their contribution to the country's development and international relations. The project management mechanisms, the extension of tourism infrastructure, the promotion of cultural programs and modernization of public administration show a comprehensive approach to tourism and cultural policy. This article reviews these developments and their implications for international cooperation, sustainable tourism and cultural exchange.
