METAPHORICAL MODELING OF THE CONCEPT OF “REFORM” IN UZBEK LEXICAL DISCOURSE (BASED ON THE COLLECTION SHAVKAT MIRZIYOYEV ON THE STRATEGY OF THE NEW UZBEKISTAN)

Abstract

   Language plays a critical role in shaping how political and social transformations are understood by the public. In post-Soviet Uzbekistan, the concept of reform (islokhot) is not only a political agenda but a cultural and lexical construct, often modeled through metaphorical language. The collection Shavkat Mirziyoyev on the Strategy of the New Uzbekistan (Tashkent, 2021) serves as a rich lexical corpus for analyzing how metaphorical expressions encode ideological meaning in political discourse.
